Tiger Woods Gives Back to Community Where He Honed His Skills as a Youth

Tiger Woods returns to the municipal courses of Long Beach April 14 to personally instruct 25 junior golfers and conduct an exhibition for 2500 inner-city youngsters. His father, Earl, is an active participant in the exhibition as well as Tiger’s press conference. Through his foundation, Tiger encourages kids to achieve their lifetime dreams by using the lessons that golf teaches. Long Beach is one of only four cities selected by the foundation for his clinic/exhibition in 2001. Tiger, who grew up in the neighboring community of Cypress, honed his skills as a youngster on Long Beach courses, including El Dorado Park.
